Fact is very few pro prospects live up to their college glory and hype. Tebow is a flop and his pro career in the NFL is going to be a short one. Meanwhile, Cam Newton is living up to all of the hype thus far, I think he has a solid future ahead of him in the NFL.

I don't like Tebow but I wont call him a flop this early into the career, but maybe after yesterdays performance people will see that this guy is going to be a mid range QB at best and definitely not an elite. Playing for a top college and being solid means NOTHING in the NFL. Lots of mediocre QBs looked like studs in college especially when playing weak schedules and then became flops in the NFL. He can't pull the bible card here. Sunday he sucked!!!
Im not even remotely close to a Tebow fan, but he deserves a fair shot at being a starting QB. Granted, I dont know if I have ever seen a QB look worse than he has at times, and still people are making excuses for him, but he deserves more than five games.
Don't think I'm biased due to my username. I'm just a Broncos fan who actually wanted Colt McCoy over Tebow, but how can anyone say he receives undue adulation? Just listen to guys like Merrill Hoge and many others in the media who trash him every chance they get.
Just look at how many fans think he should just play another position already. You don't hear that kind of talk about a horrible QB's like Tavaris Jackson. Look at how horribly Sam Bradford is playing, nobody's trashing him.
I dont mean he isnt getting bashed now. He was getting way too much hype in college.
No one was overhyping Tavaris Jackson in college. Sam Bradford wasnt getting Tebow hype in college...heck, no one was. No one is right now.
I question Skip Bayless as a Journalist when it comes to how much he loves Tebow! Everytime he has a debate about him he keeps bring up how he did in those games last season lol. I"m not a Tebow fan but I think most people can agree his ball movement on his throws is horrible! JaMarcus Russell can throw a ball better on his knees.
Everyone questions Bayless as a journalist and to think I liked him a great deal when he was with the Chgo. Tribune!
That being said, I wonder if there is some underlying motivation in his absolute praise for Tebow. He won't let anyone bring up current negative points about him, of which there are many!!!
I am not trying to bash the guy right now, but has anyone ever seen a pro QB throw worse passes? I mean, even his completions are generally pretty bad. I mean, other busts at QB could at least throw the ball--a lot of their problems were work ethic, or not being able to read the defense, process info....
Oh, I feel sorry for you. Don't see an end in sight.
Wonder what happens to his stock this week.
Good question. Vegas should start taking bets on which way coverage will lean towards each week.
This week is going to be interesting and rather annoying. He won today. He had 2 TD's in a hostile Oakland Raiders stadium. If he would have lost, it would have been 100% negative stories. But, now that he won again, there's going to be even more coverage now since there will be countless debates on his progress and if he's really the next coming of Christ or not and so on. There may or may not be an hour special on him this week. Ha.
I'm going to jump off a bridge.
Seriously.
