Besides all the other things you can no longer bring in the stadium, fans [women] will no longer be able to carry purses/bags into the stadium. What will be allowed is a one gallon size clear plastic [zip-lock type] bag. Looks like if a woman has some very personal things she doesn't want the rent a guard seeing, the objects will have to be tucked in a pocket. And the clear plastic bag makes it easier to see that can of soda and ham sandwich that will be confiscated. Bring an extra $20 for that cup of foam they call beer and the over priced hot dog.
Do you FEEL safe having a civilian rent a guard searching you and patting you down?
My big screen hdtv in my living room looks better and a lot cheaper every new season.

Well, what can I say ?
Start a class action lawsuit, the NFL has money and lots of Money-Hungry lawyers will jump on it.
Ultimately, the courts will decide that the league is out of line and the league will not want to spend millions on losing fans

OR simply boycott the games.
Football is, for all purposes, a spectator sport. Let them play to an empty stadium.

Exactly, NASCAR still allows backpacks and small soft-sided coolers (without beer.) And if you bring a clear bag, you don't even have to open it.

I don't mind it because for the most part I just bring wallet, keys and a cell phone with me to games whether it is hockey, football or baseball. NASCAR is the only thing I bring more just because of the bulk of bringing a scanner to the track and the ability to save money by making sandwiches and bringing them vs. $8.00 for a quesadilla (last time I remember in 2010.)
