Jeff Fisher should be prepared for the backlash if he cuts Michael Sam.
Former Minnesota Viking punter Kluwe got a lot of publicity for constantly talking about his support for gays.
At the same time his punting statistics were rapidly falling to where he was a below average NFL punter.
The Vikings cut him and Kluwe refused to accept it was due to his lousy punting.
Seemed every media outlet wanted to get him to tell his version that he only got cut because of his support for gays.
Bad players get cut, no matter what they do in their bedroom.
The Brooklyn Nets haven't cut Jason Collins yet and he is a bad player. Do you really think the Rams really want that kind of negative controversy of cutting the first openly gay player in the NFL? Not to mention the media wouldn't let the team forget it.
I believe they drafted him because they wanted all the pats on the back from all the media and even Barack HUSSEIN Obama mentioning that " historic event "

I think Sam will have an uphill climb to make the team. That D-line rotation is already deep and filthy good. I think Fisher will give Sam nothing less than a fair shot to make the team and wont have any qualms about cutting him if he don't make the grade. I wonder how he will handle the public holding him accountable for that decision. He IMO was never made to answer for what happened between him and Vince Young.
Will the Rams be able to cut Michael Sams if he doesn't perform up to snuff or will they "find" a spot for him for fear of the firestorm that would come???
And if he does well will you acknowledge that and congratulate him?
