Let's see, for the Bengals is has to be Akili Smith....

no, wait, it's David Klingler.....

or perhaps Ki-Jana Carter.....

Oh, I know, it's David Verser

actually, Chris Perry was pretty worthless as well

I'm really not sure!! Keith Rivers only claim to faim was being KTFO by Hines Ward.

If anything though, I would HAVE to say Lewis Billups. Had a sure interception in the End Zone in the Super Bowl and dropped it. 49'ers score a play or two later to tie the game at 13.

For the Giants, not saying they havent had bad players, but can I name a coach?

Ray Handley.

OK, for a player, how about Derek Brown (TE, Notre Dame)

or

Cedric Jones (DE, Oklahoma)

49ers? Kyle Williams' fumbles paved the way for NY to go to the Super Bowl.
Raiders? JaMarcus Russell.

Tony Eason was in my estimation the biggest chicken at the QB position. He hit the deck if there was anyone within 10 feet of him. He was just plain horrible.
Eason was the greatest QB of all time compared with 1st round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders, JaMarcus Russell.

WT

This thread is for a teams worst player in their history. While some might be tempted to post guys who were not total busts, you cannot list someone like Welker. Heck, Welker was/is a great receiver, and since joining the Patriots in 2007, Welker caught more passes than any player in the league, and ranks in the top five in yardage.
Welker reached 500 receptions with the Patriots in just 70 games, an NFL record. Welker holds the franchise record for consecutive games with receptions, having caught a pass in every game (regular season and postseason) he has played as a Patriot. Welker also holds the all-time Patriots franchise record for receptions.
Don't forget he had a ACL tear and from injury to rehab he was back in record time to become productive again. You don't do what he did and not be a dedicated athlete.

As to not holding on to critical passes, again
I remember some big pass that Brady threw behind him, and he missed even though he felt he should have caught it. Welker blamed himself and provided cover for his QB, but clearly the pass was off.

About the only accurate thing you said about Welker is that he is a tiny guy. Most teams would love to have the little guy, regardless of his size.

Kyle Williams is a great choice. Where is that guy now?

Hard to say who the worst player ever for the Patriots is/was. Just too many to choose from. One season flameouts happen all the time. A better question would be who is your team's biggest BUST? For the Pats - Hart Lee Dykes. Total stud in college, invisible for Pats.
