Sad to see Dez go. Will be watching him play for his new team. I can see Rodgers throwing to him and messing up Boys next chance to make it to the big game.

Dez could no longer take over a game. I thought him and Prescott could have put something together during Prescott's rookie season, but Dez hasn't been the same since the "was it a catch game" against Green Bay. In a lot of ways, Dallas hasn't been the same. It was the end of the road for Romo and he and Dez had that connection on the field, that Dez hasn't been able to recreate with Prescott. I'd like to see Dez in San Francisco, because he won't have as much buzz and he can quietly recapture some of his superstar status.

Bottom line: Not worth the money he commands. Not even close. Too much drama and not enough production. Smart move by Dallas, even though they now need to restock that particular cupboard.

well he lasted longer than Tim Tebow who was taken by Denver with the next pick, so he has that going for him...which is nice.

its time for dez to go, he hasnt been effective for a couple of years now, ever since he had a few surgeries on his foot a couple of seasons ago. but who replaces him? does dallas try to draft a talented receiver? or do they try to trade for one? sign someone from a practice squad?

I hear they looking at Ridley from Alabama in draft. Not sure if I would use 1st round for WR. Need to strengthen defense and add depth to o-line. Personally, I think coaching needs to improve. Romo was undervalued and he hid a lot of warts with playcalling. I worry that Dal won't be able to overcome lackluster coaching and predictable play calling.

why did the Cowboys wait until after the free agent signings to let him go? seems somewhat vindictive.

Jerry Jones took some convincing, everyone else was wanting him gone, Jerry not so much.

it is about the salary cap. chances are the actual release date for dez is june first, that way only $8 million counts against the cowboys salary cap. an earlier release date means the cowboys take a hit of $12.5 million against their cap.

Which points to me that Stephen Jones is starting to take over more and more. Also, Will McClay has a much bigger impact and voice on this team than people believe. In the last four years, Stephen has said no to drafting Manziel, no to resigning Murray, no to giving third contracts, and no to keeping Dez Bryant. If this was 2008 Jerry, Dallas drafts Manziel, resigns Murray, resigns Carr and/or Church, and Dez Byrant may or may not stay. You will really see if Stephen takes over if Dallas has a bad season and Garrett is fired.
