Let me hit the pause button on this channel on hold for a bit. I'll flip it back on as soon as I get caught up with the other problem threads. Everyone pop a cold one here-OK?
Come on gentlemen, let's put all of this behind us. We've cussed and discussed the Cutler and Tebow situation to death. And as this is a team thread, there are a lot of things to talk about regarding the club. Such as:
What a lot of Bear affecionados DO need to talk about is whazzup with Matt Forte.
And is Brian Urlacher slowing down (according to all the yammerers on the sports channels)
How 1-1 isn't cause for Bear fans to jump off one of Chicago's elevated trains.
Now speaking of elevated, I'm going to elevate my bedraggled self off my computer chair, go to kitchen, warm up 3 day old leftovers, and watch some futbol!!
Yeah dude, it was a fleecing. You gave up two first rounders and a 2009 third rounder on top of Orton for a guy who has been the epitome of average. What Denver did with those assets is ultimately irrelevant to the debate but since you brought it up, we got Orton (who had a higher QBR than Cutler in 2009 and 2010) Robert Ayers (solid starter in 2010 and 2011) whatever part of the Tebow (AFCW champs and first playoff win since 2005) Thomas and Decker came from all the maneuvering. We turned one average player into four or five average to above average players depending on how you run the tally.
And yes, I'm still a McDaniels fan.
No, in football, business, life or anything else, it is judged by the returns it yields. We have a franchise QB and an NFC title game appearance. If anything it's a slight edge one way or another, but calling it a fleecing is just the standard overreaction that you always have when it comes to this subject. Your lack of objectivity in your analysis is downright comical.
I wish the moderators would flag all those who troll on cutler on this bear forum...if you want to bash him do it on the bronco forum... (Last sentence deleted as off topic-in other words not related to the Chicago Bears team thread)

This is a thread, not a forum... It's the football forum, with bear and bronco threads

Hate to tell you, but you don't have a franchise quarterback.
I expect the Bears to play alot better and win by more then 10 points this week...we have alot of depth at running back so forte should not be missed...some changes on the O'line should help and Jay rolling out...hopefully Tice has learned from his poor play calling, and lovie...they have a franchise QB that will take them to a superbowl, I believe they were 1 game away from one with far less talent...
Hate to tell you, but you don't have a franchise quarterback.

The Thursday night game ruined things from a variety of places... Cutler, Rodgers, Forte, Marshal, Rodgers, Finley, Benson, Finley all put up very weak fantasy points. But yes, Cutler was the worst of the bunch.
