Because it's easier to look smart in hindsight than before the fact. I didn't see you saying anything about playing starters in this thread back in December. Now that I've answered your question, how about answering the one I asked in the post you're responding to?
How many games did Waddle sit out because there was nothing to play for but pride? If he had followed his own supposed pontifications on this subject (I have to take your word that he's said what you claim he has), he would have had about 40% fewer career games than he did.
Also, Trying to compare teams from 20 plus years ago when the Bears sucked to todays team with many great players does not hold water... enjoy the game tonight...
Thanks Lovie, were 1-0 for 2012...a meaningless win against the vikings that cost us 6 positions in the draft...oh and maybe number 54 for the year....your next to go...the cover 2 sucks... Lets hope the bears sign a released OL men or trade for one soon..
I've always liked Urlacher, I hope his knee issue isn't an accident waiting for a place to happen. I know he is tough, wants to play but knees are scarey and he isn't a youngster by any means.
Urlachers knee is more and more concerning, seems like it is much worse than he lead the fans to believe. Whatever, I get why you play that close to the chest, but it does take a little bit of wind out of the sails of my expectations.
However, this season is about the offense. I'd take a healthy Jay Cutler over a healthy Brian Urlacher ANY day
Being a Packer fan, I would like nothing more than to see the Bears truly healthy and positioned to have a solid run this year.
If indeed they can keep Cutler healthy, this is a very talented team with a lot of weapons. Chicago is indeed a great sports town, and Bear fans deserve a good run this year.
This is a very talented and deep division this year------they could take turns beating each other up.

there is so much talent on offense...ashlon jefferies wr is looking very very good...o line needs to jell....the offense will carry the team...
Yep, going to be great this season in the NFC North! Bears were doing good last year before Cutler's injury so I look for this year to be awesome games between the Pack and the Bears!

victory over skins...o line...looked very good...our offense a new power house in the nfl...alot of depth... getting so much better all the time... way to go jay, you were a steal of a deal...
That might have been the first time a preseason game held my attention. First string offense looked GREAT through the first 2 qtrs, and it was pretty cool to see Gould knock in a 57 yarder for the win. Bear DOWN!!
