I'm a little surprised by this transaction, but maybe I shouldn't be. At least he didn't have a bunch of issues last year with his employer or the law that has dogged him throughout his career.
At Miami he put up good numbers on the field, catching 86 and 81 balls respectively the last couple seasons. But it's the 2007 and 2008 seasons where he hit his stride.
104 receptions for 1265 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2007.
102 receptions for 1325 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2008.
His relationship with Jay Cutler was always good. Let's see where he is at off the field. On the field, Chicago has just made a statement. A big one.
yes he is a head case like me...I just hope the bears do more, because this was just a trade and there sitting on a ton of money...OL-the dt out of seattle...a cb...hope hope hope...
A head case, really???? Always 2 sides to these stories, fight in or outside a nightclub, someone ends up with a black eye, you can read between the lines many times!

If I'm not mistaken, I thought he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and borderline personality/bipolar disorder about a year ago. Alot of his troubles may be the result of this.

the bears still may have a shot at super mario...bills flew him in...but he left without a deal...he does not want to get stuck on the bills..TAKE LESS CASH AND PLAY FOR A BIG MARKET TEAM MARIO HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH...GEEESSS
I was just about ready to post that, heard the story on Mike and Mike in the morning just a few minutes ago,
As Marshall has dealt with a previous suspension before, it will be interesting how Roger Goodell deals with this situation.
Supposedly both sides knew of the incident before the deal was made. No idea how credible that is, but it is what local radio is saying.

Yeah, it's a little worrysome, but he has still been productive on the field. The Bears have a strong locker room though with a lot of vets in it, so he should get all the support he can here. Now, of course strong lockerooms don't cure mental illness, but it can be a good influence on him and lead to him having a productive career here. *hopefully.
