Wow...this is the team that beat my boys down badly 2 weeks ago but when they played the eagles last night....they just don't care and looked horrible..even with the division clinch on the line....SMH
I really couldnt see Rodgers not playing. However, you would have to think he will have a quarter of rust to shake off. But a quarter of rust against a high school caliber defense might not mean much
I can't see Packers winning without Rodgers and Eddie Lacy has ankle issues. Let the weekly Rodgers watch begin!
What the heck was that?! Everything on the line and we come out playing like a small division college team in the NFL. One of the worst games that I've seen the Bears play in my almost 30 years of watching them. Especially with a division title on the line.
Well, ever since we knocked Rogers out I had a reoccurring nightmare that he would be back for the last game of the year to gash us and keep us from the playoffs. I sure do hope that nightmares don't come true. Our super bowl is just getting into the playoffs...no matter how ugly or inept we are.
What's really sad is the Bears or Packers will make the playoffs and the probable 11-5 Cards are going to be assed out.
Yep, some years 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 is a division winner and other teams playing well all year don't make the playoffs, not a good thing but is there an alternative method for playoffs???
Seriously, with all the Bears and Packers injuries I'm shocked so many are griping and moaning about the Bears terrible Sunday game etc etc.
If your glass isn't half full that Detroit choked away a golden opportunity and despite horrible injury misfortune your team might make the playoffs....then bah humbug to you too.
If you'd rather be watching a meaningless game ending the regular season behind a 10-6 detroit then I can't help you.
Go Bears. Way to make the best out of a crappy situation and going down swinging. Sheesh, when they get blasted in the playoffs (packers or Bears) you guys will probably be crying about that too when in reality they got lucky to be there.
...the Bears and Packers were both riddled by injuries and otherwise play in one of the toughest divisions in football.
P.S. Seriously, in was just 2010 when that pathetic division was won by Seattle with a 7-9 record....really, go whine somewhere else.
Wow, there's one opinion.
Here's mine; the NFC West division is superior this year with the South not far behind. Meanwhile, the NFC North and the NFC East have been competing for the League Bottom Feeder spot.
This is why I don't think you can really 'fix' that problem...
Anyway, in the big picture, do we really want it changed....?
Some teams just draw the short end of the stick....this year it might be the Cardinals....
since 1978 only (1) 11-5 team has missed the playoffs (the '85 broncos)....
Do we want to try to 'fix' something that possibly could happen once every 28 years...lol?
How about 'fixing' a division winner w/a losing record (ie the seahawks in 2010)....
Honestly, something like this IMO won't get any traction....it just doesn't happen frequently enough.
