The stadium in Honolulu is a dump. The game is never great. In fact, they aught to do away the game itself and just do a skills competition. That would be more interesting than a game of guys giving 27% effort.

I think it was just a free vacation to Hawaii for those making the Pro Bowl and all the sports media people..which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it is popular being a lead in to Super Bowl week, I think it will be.

Its all ready been nix for next year and will go back to Hawaii as normal. They are going to renovate the stadium. I think this was the NFL's way of getting them to fix the stadium.

thanks...good to know. It is kind of unfair because the guys who play in the Super Bowl don't get to enjoy the Pro Bowl recognition and perks, and the fans don't get to see the best players because they have to sit out the SB.

Where is the SB being held next year?

Football just does not lend itself well to an All Star game. If you got rid of special teams, maybe more of the stars would be willing to play. How are you going to tell Andre Johnson to run down on Kick off coverage?

How you gonna tell a guy without a guaranteed contract to put his body on the line for a game that means nothing competitively. I'd fake an injury, go the Pro Bowl, sign my autographs and interact with the fans, and leave it at that.

Some Pro Bowlers don't even play/go to the Pro Bowl regardless. They're too good for that. It's not mandatory, you don't have to fake anything.
