NFL: Lions. Pretty painful, the last 22 years have been, well, the first 7 were pretty good, the last 15... not so much.

Totalling understand following your man to the pros. I have somewhat turned into a NY Jets fan after they got Iowa's Shonn Greene. Love the Jets coach too. It's OK to root for the Jets. Only way they'll meet my Vikings in the playoffs is in the Superbowl and the thermostat will have to be set real low in hell for that to happen.

I understand about following a player into the pros. I was always a Steelers fan but I watched Dan Marino at the U of Pittsburgh and had met him many times because my aunt was an executive there. I followed him through college and when he went pro my second team became the Dolphins.

I never thought Marino would be as great an NFL qb as He became. I thought He was just an average QB at Pitt.
