Blue Ridge Chateau II Kids Outdoor Swing Set By Gorilla Playsets

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

We just installed this swing set this past summer and it has been incredible. One of the nicest feature this set has is the the maintenance free poly coated material it is made out of. Our old swing set was made of wood and had to be powerwashed, painted or stained regularly. It also occasionally gave the kids splinters. It has a rockwall, several swings, a trapeze, picnic table and play deck top area. It's been perfect when we've had large parties in our backyard. Because it's made out of the poly coated material it handles getting wet really well and is easy to clean if the kids decide to have a snack or drink on it and they happen to spill. Nothing becomes a permanent stain. It's very sturdy so all the swings can be used at one time without having to worry about it shaking or tipping over. It took us all day to set up, which is probably one of the only negative aspects. As far as safety and design, it's very solid and can handle a lot of rough behavior. It's colorful and very enticing for children when they come to our house. The rockwall is really cool, especially for really little kids who love to climb. It's very difficult to get hurt on it because it's fairly low to the ground. The swing chains also have a plastic coating on them, which is very comfortable on the hands. One other option that opted for was the sandbox in the bottom. This has been really fun but probably the messiest part of the whole set. It prices around $1500, which is right in line with Rainbow and some of the other more expensive sets out there. It also comes with a 10-year warranty.
