Stauer Bravura 17-jewel Tourbillon

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

This year, the price dropped from $2,000 to only $795 on the watch my husband had been eying for the past year, so I figured it was time to get him the Stauer Bravura 17-jewel Tourbillon that he wanted. The movement of the watch was invented in 1795 to prevent gravity from having a toll on early pocket watches, it is a classic piece that is irresistible, and many watch makers refuse to attempt to duplicate. This watch is beautiful with it's antique ivory face and blue roman numerals. There are two separate encasements at the six o'clock and nine o'clock numerals that allow you to see all 250 parts of the watch moving. Unlike many other watches, there actually are seventeen jewels in the watch- it had nothing to do with the watches movement.

When I ordered this watch I was amazed at how quickly it shipped. When I got to really looking at the watch, I noticed that it actually does have seventeen jewels as well as tells the weather, time, date and is water resistant, something that my husband desperately needs in a watch. The black crocodile band is very classy looking and matches everything that a person could ever wear. My husband was pleased that this watch came with a lifetime warranty so that if anything were to ever break or need to be replaced, you could send it back and the Stauer company would fix it for free The beautiful hand craftsmanship is stunning. The watch face is as intricate as something that you would see in a larger watch such as a pocket watch. I give this watch an overall rating of 4. It was a rather expensive watch, even on sale but the quality of the watch its lifetime warrantee make me hopeful that it is going to be an investment that was worth making.

There is a lifetime warranty on the watch? I can't find that info on the website!

Thanks
