Ok,but do you look in their eyes the whole time during the conversation,or do you look away for a few seconds then look someone in the eyes again?

I live with a bully. A lot of times he is just very petty, critical, and covertly jealous. I rarely look at him in the eye or look at his face. His face gives it away (the anger, the jealousy, etc.)

The condescending attitude and lecturing gets pretty bad too.

I was considered very ugly, and I haven't gotten over it. I have crying bouts all the time, and I have no friends. I'm surprised I am able to work, but it seems to keep my mind off things.

I am actually still bullied for the same thing, and I think that's the worst part to handle for me. I have been able to forget about the bullying incidents from school for about 4 days at a time, but something triggers it,like a stranger saying something mean to me,or a rude cashier,or a coworker talking about me.

You may want to try reading Code to Joy by Pratt and Lambrou. It's about identifying problems and retraining your brain to regard them in a different manner. It's supposedly very helpful, but I have not finished it and so I haven't tried their methodology just yet.
