Your media is always doing sensation because of one small incident and thought better of their Common to all channels, if this applies to Russia. Show me one article where there is a positive image of Russia? They do not exist is not it? Is not it strange that? All American and European journalists who live and work in Russia. Openly say that they do not always write the truth, everything is always portrayed in black light. Because if it will positive news. What people in the West will not be read these newspapers. The image of Russia you so much for that stereotype is worse than we thought at the time of the Soviet Union. Come visit us and see with your own eyes. just do not forget it's not only Russia, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
I do not wanna offend anyone on this forum. But I hi statistics of the Ministry of Public health United States and the FBI
hm, well, okay:
List of countries by intentional homicide rate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
United States murder rate - 4.8
Russia - 10.2, and that's not counting Ukraine or any of the former republics

Alcoholism in Russia:
Alcoholism in Russia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

FAS:

There are coupons for food in the US? Great! Maybe there should be aid for the poor in Russia, the seniors who after slaving away their whole lives are forced to collect cans and survive on the bare minimum of a pension and go hungry.
I don't need the news, I have relatives there and plenty of people here who go back to visit often. I hear what they say. I know that my husband's grandma who is 85 years old and almost blind, has been hit over the head TWICE on separate occasions in her building hallway and had her purse snatched. I know there's only recently been a case where a group of eight teenage girls tortured and beat another handicapped girl almost to death for fun, including breaking her fingers one by one. I know that when my mother in law visits, she says it breaks her heart how angry and cruel people have become there. That my grandmother who is a university professor is still forced to work at 72 because she's afraid to go on pension, and how she sees people get through only through bribes. I know the facts. if people don't get depressed, because they're downing a bottle of vodka a night, happy to have gotten through the day alive - well that's a great definition of a depression-free life then. I just don't understand, why post on a public forum and ask opinions if you're clearly not interested in anyone's opinion but your own?

After listening to your story makes me feel creepy. lol. A feeling that Russia is 1km square. How about those who kill children in U.S. schools? How about that for that week in the United States two headquarters murdered in the U.S. Navy? I am a reasonable person and I know that this incident must not judge the country as you do. You do not know anything about life in Russia. And the topic is not about that. the city where I live, I leave my car with the ignition key when I go to the store. I can walk all at night knowing that I do not offend anyone. One girl free to return home without fear of her rape. And then you tell me about the atrocities? may have about the Bears are playing on balalaika tell?

I'm not interested in the opinion that you take out of the newspapers. News in the United States is a big lie when it comes to Russia. I'm interested in the causes of depression in the United States. I am interested to find out from people who have faced depression and of these professions (their opinion). As for your stereotypes, they will have you always lived in the United States. As long as you do not come to Russia and not've lived at least half a year.

We're all so depressed in America, are we? Fine. Let's compare suicide rates:

List of countries by suicide rate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The United States is ranked #33. Most of the former Soviet Union is much higher on the list. Lithuania #3, Belarus #6, Ukraine and Russia, #12 and #13.

Face facts, pal. You wish you could live in California. We have no desire to move to Russia. None whatsoever. Winter is coming. Enjoy the freezing temperatures and the snow.

Why Russians Don't Get Depressed - Wired Science
I don't mean to be trolling but I saw this and thought it interesting and I have a question.

Are you talking about depression due to circumstances or depression due to a physical dysfunction?

Depression due to circumstances if the circumstance changes, the depression is lifted.

Depression due to physical dysfunctions of the body, a person doesn't need a psychologist, they need a doctor.

To determine if they need a psychologist they should have a full physical including blood work and let the doctor help them with the decision on how to proceed.

Oh and where a person lives doesn't have anything to do with it.

PS you gave a quote in the post above with these words, "Pepsi Generation". I use to work for them, so here's a bit of trivia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepsi_Generation

Look at the statistics I provided above! Wikipedia can not write any. Compare any topic. Wikipedia in Russia and Wikipedia the United States. You are right. The facts speak for themselves. check them out.
And Research I do not spend. So the claim is not for me.

You want to know about depression? Look up Thyroid gland and what happens when it does not function properly. There's depression for you.

As for as living with depression every day. Yes, all of my life.

Again, change your circumstances and the depression will lift. If a person gets depressed listening to the news, stop doing that.

Causes of depression in the United States, look up the stock market crash, what year was that...38? People jumped out of windows, over money. That was crazy.

You may want to look up 9-11. That was depressing. All those folks did that day was show up for work and they never made it home again.

So depression in the United States? What do you really want to know, seriously?

I'd like to help you. However, there are studies all across the Internet posted documents from Universities that study different situations and tests. Have you ever heard of John Tesh, "Intelligence for Your Life", word search that, as he posts articles along many topics that may help you.

You do know some scientist will lie to you just a quickly as a news media. No one in any country these days speaks without approval, I don't care where you live.

For example 9-11 in the U.S., people are depressed? In Russia there were terrorist attacks before 9-11 but the bulk of depression among the population was not.
I'm interested in why people can not overcome depression as many do in Russia.
