Ahhh, thanks for reminding me why I won't move back to the east coast (where I was born) ever again.
Call me a stuffy East Coast person but this is one thing I think is good about the East (if it still holds true). The suit & tie thing is overkill, but tatooing and multi-colored hair goes way too far the other way. At least you can change hair & piercings pretty easily.

I think the fundamental lack of foresight does not argue for much brains. That said, I have seen smart people with them too.

My guess the there is indeed a weak negative correlation between IQ and tattooness.

Just seems like a dumb thing to do. I mean honestly, how many "cool" things you did at 19 seem cool even 2 years later, much less 20 or 50, when your barbed wire tattoo looks like a picket fence...

DO I LOOK TOO CONSERVATIVE?

No matter what my personal feelings are about that Picture SOURCE, I would not use tattoos as a guide to a person's intelligence. For all I know that person might be a genius but very opposed to conformity.
I can almost guarantee the person pictured had some kind of major childhood trauma.

At least beards and hair can be easily changed.

I think having big tatoos is related to how much you like tatoos. As for intelligence I see no correlation. Lots of intelligent and dumb people with and without tatoos everywhere

Do humans like correlation to help make themselves feel better?....."I must be smarter because I have no tattoos".

Such shallow thinking, to look down upon people who don't look at the world the same way you do. I'm an idiotic 55 year old CPA with two tattoos who listens to heavy metal music. I must be f'ing up everyone's tax returns.

Tattoos are ugly. They probably don't have any indication of low intellect but it does give people an unprofessional look.

The only thing getting a tattoo proves is a person that makes bad choices. I know a lot of people with tattoos, can't believe what they paid for them, and they are always broke.
