If you are buying a property in a community - yes, all of the condo associations have fees. If you are renting, sometimes the owner/landlord will pay the fees and usually includes it as part of the rental price. Apartments are different than condos. Apartments are owned by a company that rents them out. Condos are owned by individuals and governed by a board and they have homeowner associations with rules and regulations, articles and bylaws. You can search for condos for sale and for rent in the MLS but you cannot search for apartments in the MLS. If you want to compare condo prices in the different areas that you mentioned you can search the MLS at Florida Homes for Sale direct from MLS. This includes Punta Gorda, Englewood and Venice. But you would have to go to the Ft. Myers/Lee County area MLS to search for homes in Bonita Springs and Ft. Myers.
