Two sighting to add to my list. The first was a beautiful Bald Eagle, surrounded by vultures awaiting their turn, eating a possum on the side of Pellum Ave. I got a picture with my cell phone, but unfortunately had my camera setting set to "florescent", so the color is off.

My second sighting I experienced while fishing off of my seawall. I heard a bzzzzzzzz getting louder and louder and suddenly a swarm of bees flew directly over my head . Scary but amazing at the same time! I've never seen bees swarm before; just heard about it occurring.

What a great picture, never would think an eagle would dine with the buzzards but there is proof!

Mine too, the Bismark. I like the bluish ones.

That eagle looks fake, very cool...never seen them go after something dead.

I thought of this post today as I was trying to pry a 5 line skink from the jaws of my cat. She finally dropped it and I had to catch it do get it out of the lanai. After many attempts to pick it up the thing jumped on my leg and allowed me to just walk outside with it. Skink is fine, minus the tail .

MIK, that IS an amazing picture of the eagle eating with the vultures! Good going! Also.......have seen many swarms, since we used to raise honey bees, years ago up north. We haven't seen anything like that since we've been down HERE, however, and we're looking forward to that day that we do.

I don't think I mentioned that we had a bald eagle sit on the power pole next to where we were sitting, and...........then we also had a great horned owl sitting there also? NOT at the same time or day!

Keep that camera handy, Mik! I should probably do the same thing, huh?

I was shocked when I seen an Eagle on River Road with a group of buzzards eating some road kill last Sunday. I thought I was seeing things LOL.
