Great progress reports Mike. We will be anxious to see the "real thing" when we are down again in two weeks.
Thanks again!

They changed the right lane on Midway going north at Tamiami, now the right lane is right turn only which should help the traffic flow.

I visit people daily who live on Edgewater drive, this is despicable what they are doing. I have to make a big circle on Tamiami Trl just to go to Eau Gallie Cir. They should really stop messing up every road in Port Charlotte at the same time. 75 is dug up for 11 miles, 41 is dug up in several sections, now they dug up and closed off Edgewater Drv. This is repulsive how disorganized and incompetent they are. Same with work, my girl-friend works on Harborview Rd (resides on edgwater drv) and has to make a huge circle to get back to Harborview Rd from Edgewater. The city should pay us back for the gas we waste daily.

and seriously 2 years? Are they making each part from scratch on site? Why can't they start and finish "one job' at a time, instead of starting 5 and taking years to complete them? I would love to see their home(s), if they clean their home the same way, I can only imagine what chaos they live in. Really, whoever plans these jobs is a nincompoop.

Yes that New Right Turn Only Lane on Midway is helping a lot.. a few of the snowbirds ( Indiana mostly) and some visitors seem NOT to be either aware or comfortable with Right on Red After Stopping. Hahaha yes its a little inconvenient at times ...Oh Well..... Life runs as smooth as you make it : )

I noticed that they extended the time the left turn arrow from north 41 onto Midway is on too. Seems to have improved the backups on 41 N some. Or maybe some of the snowbirds have gone home and traffic is lighter??

Surprised no one posted this before me. Charlotte County announced today that a contractor working the Edgewater Road expansion accidentally damaged a 10" line resulting in a sewage spill into Spring Lake. Said they worked quickly to reroute the lines and control the releases but ...... Ewwww. Wouldn't be swimming in Spring Lake or the Peace River anytime soon.

Maybe the county will take some samples to claim the high fecal rates on failing septics while they can.
