I live in South Venice and I'm with the Englewood Water District.

Yes contact the Englewood water district. They have active sewer projects going on right now. If you're in an affected area, you would have been receiving mailings with details.

Ok, update on the Spring Lake Sewer conversion project. Here is the deal. We are looking at a year out yet on conversion. First contract contractor was over-extended, so still doesn't have the mains installed. Second contract, mains are installed. Pumping station is almost complete. BUT...

There is nowhere for the poop to go. The line has to be run under 41 to tie into the existing mains that service the sewer plant. Per the rep from the city who is overseeing this mess, the state and county are in a dispute about how to run the line under 41. From what he said, the system won't work if the pipe is as deep as the state wants it, so it is back and forth. And until this is settled, no tie-ins.

So that is where we are at. Big difference from the PR being put out by the county as to the time frame.

seems this should have been figured out years ago.

You're paying for the infrastructure right now on your taxes. Not the monthly sewer charges yet until you're hooked up and using it.

Maybe they can have the sewer pipes discharge in the commissioners' offices. Seems like a fitting place.

Going with the pool. Got out with a probe, found the limestone that surrounds the drain pipes. Sliding the pool out, doing just the pool and a 3' surround. The patio and cage connecting to the home will wait a couple of years until the sewer is done.

Hopefully for your sake the sewer project is done in a couple of years.
Who did you pick for a pool company?

JT Pools. jT was willing to do it in sections, worked well in the planning phase. Casa backed out, Flamingo came in $8K higher, Popa Pools came out, never gave me a bid.
