I couldn't find the thread about furniture stores so I thought I would throw out this question: Where is a good place in the NP,PG or PC areas to purchase a new sofa sleeper? They must deliver also. Thanks!

There are dozens of furniture stores in the area. Each one has some things at better deals than others. They all deliver. They all have rotating stock. Spend a few hours and drive to as many as you can and find something you like at a price you like, then haggle for free shipping (at least).

3 months ago we bought a 10 foot long (!) quality leather couch in perfect shape off one of those facebook for sale sites (GF is hooked on them) from a snowbird that was leaving. Paid $75. I love it, at 6' 3" I can finally stretch out. It has a never used queen bed inside AND a recliner. It replaced a couch our puppies peed on and we had to throw out.

The puppies are potty trained now....but last week the puppies did some chewing on it.....we're pissed. And that, in a nutshell, is why I refuse to buy new right now. Damn I loved this couch.....

Shop around the local furniture stores - Rooms to Go, Kanes, Furniture Warehouse, Havertys, Bacons, Baers. Most of them have an online site where you can shop before you go. They all deliver. Lots of furniture ads in the newspaper today, 5/23/15.

don't forget Craigslist for good buys. I just sold most of my furniture in my home on Craigslist and many people got some awesome deals!

One of my customers bought a never used sofa sleeper at Second Chance Home Furnishings in North Port for their condo. That place has nice used and refurbished furniture.

Thanks for the ideas. As much as I hate shopping, narrowing down the list is imperative. Thanks again!

Macy's is a great choice too. We've bought several items and super happy with their pricing and delivery.

We had a great experience at Bear Furniture in PC. We are very happy with our new leather sofa, love seat and chair. Great salesperson, customer service, delivery. Could not be happier.

We flew in and got there just when they were closing (we called ahead, they were waiting). We spent about an hour in the store. All the folks there did not hurry us at all.

Mike
