I'm exploring my options for possible cash income cleaning houses in Florida. I successfully ran my own cleaning service for 3 years and know the gig well.
(I don't wear pearls, spike heals and an apron but I can guarantee you a spit spot clean house with a )

My cleaning services also included working with seniors, assisting with the shopping, organizing, cooking...

Does anyone know what the hourly cleaning rate is these days in Sarasota County area?
Do people get paid by the job or by the hour?

Any good resources for finding good clients?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Juney

i don't think you will be able to do this on an hourly rate. I've had two cleaning people in my life, and both times they looked through the house and quoted a price, I agreed to it, and that price didn't change. If they were on an hourly rate, I'd be antsy about how long it took, and whether they were wasting time, and irritated at a constantly fluctuating price.

Hourly won't work. Just give bids based on what work there is, size and condition, and how many hours you can complete the job in. That way if you have more than 1 person cleaning the price will be the same but take fewer hours to complete.
