I'm still looking for some good Jersey Shore boardwalk pizza down here. Mack's, Sam's,...I don't mind a soggy crust. If you want anything similar to NY/NJ pizza down here you HAVE to ask for extra sauce!

GF just brought me home a cheesesteak from Jersey Mike's.....not bad...

There is an authenic Chicago pizza place with one location in Fort Myers. The other locations are scattered throughout Chicago.

I've been to the Aurelio's locations in Naples and Fort Myers. The thin crust is not bad. One time we had deep dish, I think they call it stuffed, at the Naples location,(we had friends visiting who wanted to try deep dish). It was disgusting. It was like eating soup. So embarrassing. Should of known better than to order deep dish in Florida even if it was Aurelio's.

You can get Home Run Inn frozen pizzas in Publix and Winn Dixie supermarkets. It's a Chicago thin crust pizza. They have ultra thin crust and then classic crust which is slightly thicker although it's technically still a thin crust. Publix has buy one/get one free this week -sale runs through Wed.

Enjoyed a Pioneers Special tonight after fishing...was too tired to fillet my catch so left them in the cooler on ice until Sunday. Now that's tired.

Long time ago I ate pizza from a place called Grotto's(I think?) but can't remember where I was. Maryland? Delaware? On the boardwalk someplace. Anyway, mighty fine pizza. While on business in Chicago I had deep dish pizza that was awesome.

Here in the Midwest it's mostly chain pizza joints or frozen. I actually think I prefer frozen to Pizza Hut. A few bars serve up halfway decent pizza but stand alone pizza joints are few and far between here in farm country.

That's it! Ocean City Md. That was a long time ago but I still remember the pizza. Come to think of it,that was also the first time I ate at a real seafood restaurant,Phillips by the sea I believe was the full name. Waited outside for about 90 minutes to get a table and was it ever worth it! This would have been in the 70's or early 80's.

I also ran into one in Harvey's Lake, outside of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Don't know if it's the same family (or chain) but I tried it and it was good!
