I am a new to P.C. and I certainly don't know all laws state or local.
There are times I'd like to ride a golf cart on the neighborhood streets and on the service roads along hwy. 41. I never see anyone do this,so I have restrained myself .
Now, I'm sure not for driving one on 41 and any of the major roads..I don't want run over!! Lol
It would be nice to ride a cart to some of the restaurants or trips to grocery store.
When I am there ,I sometimes ride my motor cycle to go eat or if I just need a couple of small item from the grocery.

Not really legal in most areas.

Get yourself an old street legal Cushman Truckster instead. Or, they do make some street legal golf cart type things these days but they are expensive.

The residents of Kings Gate in Port Charlotte off of Kings Highway have the privilege of using their golf carts to go through the gate and into the parking lot of the shopping/grocery center in front of their community. But they are not allowed on the main roads outside of the community other than the parking lot.

There is a person in our neighborhood in Port Charlotte that rides his golf cart around at times, but I don't think it is legal on city/county roads. Sorry!

I don't believe it's is generally legal unless the roads are private. However I often see people with golf carts at Homedepot on Rt. 41 and Burnt Store Rd.

The problem with the new street legal electric vehicles is they are restricted to roads with a posted speed limit of 35mph or less

How is it at Christmas time UPS has been using golf carts pulling trailers to deliver packages if doing so is illegal?
