Looking for a lawyer to represent us. Contractor hired hack subcontractors. Charlotte County. I was told Morgan and Morgan but they are not in Charlotte County, they are in Sarasota.

Lawyers are a last resort, have you tried going through the County ? Has the home passed inspections ?

Check your contract. Many of them specify that you agree to arbitration rather than taking things to court. Lots of people sign this without realizing what they are agreeing to ahead of time, long before problems arise.

If you get an attorney, they'll be able to determine what you agreed to on the contract.

You don't need an attorney unless the contractor has filed a Mechanic's Lien. Best to settle your differences and move on. Attorneys' fees will eat you up.

Get a lawyer ASAP. We had major issues with our project and our lawyer saved us a fortune (5 figures). We will be grateful to him for the rest of my lives. He was in Naples. In the meantime take plenty of pictures, as they say, "a picture is worth 1000 words".
