We just got back from vacation and the lawn is 6" to 8" high. I need a pro to mow and bag/vacuum the yard to get back to the point where I can manage it myself again. As most mowing services just want to blow the clippings back onto the grass, I need to find one with the equipment to collect the grass as it's being cut.

Any recommendations would be most welcome.

Why not ask one of your neighbors who employs a lawn service for the name of their lawn company? You could ask for a quote while specifying your wish for them to collect the clippings. And they might charge less because they're already in the area and it's on their regular route. (Those dried grass clipping make great mulch if you have any garden beds which need it.)

They also promote great growth in your grass as well. Although i understand you don't want 6 inches of mulched grass laying around in your yard. I mow my parents yard with a bagged mower and dump the clippings behind the woodline into a mulch pile. I'm assuming you don't have a wood line or large enough lot to dispose of the clippings? If you did, I'd bring my mower over and take care of it, I LOVE mowing!
