Like the photos.
The stamped concrete is original and done by the builder. The builder didn't seal it so it is a tad lighter now but has been sealed as was the paving. The company I used does do the overlay for porches and garage floors etc. Thank for the tip about it peeling.

I like them. I've seen it done here in Hawaii as well and they stamp in Asian/Tribal symbols; looks really cool. Even for me - a Grandmom, I think it looks a whole lot better than my Grandma's house.

OK, I checked and this was in October of 2007. It was done by a company called Streamline Edge, but I am am not sure if they are still around orn not. We tried to make it pretty close to the brick, but like you mentioned, you can do lots of colors in the base concrete and then also do different colors for the release agent, which in this application is really just extra color on top of the concrete itself. A couple of before shots thrown in for good measure.

I like them, too. And the larger pics DO look like my grandmother's yard -- but only because of the cut-out dog!

This is great! Wish I had heard about it before we spent all that time putting in the typical edger blocks...

I have this at my FL house and LOVE it!!! My husband and I were saying when we moved here that nobody had it and we should start doing it and get rich quick!! - guess somebody beat us to the punch We've had it down there for 6 years or so and it looks the same as the day we had it done-great stuff. I would be interested to see how it holds up with the winters here vs. FL though???

I have one or two sections that have moved a little bit, but they put concrete fiber mesh reinforcement and full thickness contraction joints every several feet by running a piece of sheet metal through it while it was wet, so it still looks good. Really no way around that given that it is only at most 5 inches thick and sitting on open ground. You can put rebar in it also and that will help some, but unless you dig down a foot and put in crushed stone, then pour a really thick section, essentially like a real curb on the street, its not going to last 30 years with no movement.
