Hurricanes Hockey, that is!

I think I am going.
Have to confirm the ticket today, but I expect to be there.

Anyone else?

Their home opener is tomorrow, the 27th, not the 30th.

Yep, and I'll be there. I had to get a new shirt. My #13 Whitney shirt was starting to get a little worn and faded.

We watched the Pens get clobbered by Tampa of all teams tonight, hopefully the Hurricanes made out better. On a side note we couldn't find them playing on the NHL Center Ice package, I wonder why?

Caps 3
Canes 0

And Cam Ward gets the first Star.
Crowd really never got into the game.
That about says it all...

It was pretty cool that the Canes let the Junior Hockey kids go on the ice first, and a kid escorted each Cane player onto the ice when they were introduced.
Big moment for some young folks.

We didn't make it to this first one. The Caps are a hard act to beat!

Lets just say I was there in spirit

Getting shut-out in the first home game of the year is depressing. Hoping for a better showing against Pittsburgh. It looks like Jeff Skinner, the Canes prized draft pick, will not be heading back to Juniors and will stick with the team long-term, which is good because he does a lot of good and could become Staals "wingman" so to say as he should only get better.

Really digging the ASG logo at Center Ice.
