I frequent Gateway restaurant in the Gateway shopping center located at the intersection of Capital and Crabtree. Another I'm fond of is Spring Cafe located at the intersection of Spring Forest and Hargrove.

I love pizza america off hillsboro across from NCSU and I know its open really late. I want to say its open 24/7 but dont quote me on it. 42nd street oyster bar is always good but I dont know when it closes. Biaggi's in cary is also really good italian. Biaggi's is a chain and not based in raleigh but there are only like 20 of them spread out all over the US. There is probably other, just cant think of them atm.

There are tons of great places:

- Spize Cafe - lunch, Asian inspired, outstanding "baguette" sandwiches
- Raleigh Times - outstanding bar food and beer list
- Foster's Wine Bar - small plates or entrees
- Fortune Palace - Chinese, order from the "Asian menu," skip the buffet stuff
- Los Cuates - Mexican, they have a restaurant off of Falls of Nuese and a small take out place on Capital
- Coopers - dive BBQ
- Asian Grill - North Raleigh, Shanghai style food
- Sitti - Eastern Med
- Gravy - Italian American
- Market - Neighborhood place focused on local ingredients tucked back near Peace College
- Davids Dumpling and Noodle - a variety of delicious noodle dishes and dumplings
- Poole's Diner, comfort food, quality ingredients, top notch chef, but not cheap, hipsterish
- Haru - probably some of the better sushi in Raleigh
- J. Betskis - terrific German food
- Bloomsbury Bistro - fine dining
- Jibarra - "Modern Mexican"

There are quite a few good places around; and, I could rattle off at least this many more, but I got to get back to actual work at the moment. Good luck and have fun exploring.

Though it is a chain, there are only 24 of them nation wide. It's on Wake Forest Ave, right off 440.

+1 for Gateway and also Pam's at Western Blvd/Powell Drive for home cooking. For finer dining, anything operated by the Jennings - Fraziers, Porters, Vivace, Coquette.
