It is nicer that the older Food Lions on Penny/Kildaire or 401/1010, but the produce selection is pitiful. The nearby Harris Teeters (in all directions) are going to continue to get my business
Yes, I stopped in today to see - it is much nicer than most Food Lions, but Harris Teeter will still get my business. I hope they can keep up the nicer image, though!

Well I am a big HT fan, too, but I stopped by local Food Lion last week...Huge navel oranges 8lb bag, $3.99. Teeter had them for $3.99, too, except they were puny orangettes and the bag was only four pounds.

I read that the one at Kildaire Farm Road/Penny Road intersection will close now that the new one is open. I also thought the new one was nice. I guess I'll be watching the specials and shopping at all three now (HT, Lowe's, & Food Lion), with some Trader Joe's and Fresh Market thrown in there too.
I stopped in yesterday afternoon and thought the store was nice and clean. It's nicely laid out too. The staff was friendly, although they did admit that they were beginning to run out of items. I guess they didn't expect so many people the first weekend they were open. I'll be happy when other businesses open up in that shopping center.
