My husband got relocated to the Raleigh area. Found a very nice house off of Rt 1/Capital Blvd about as far north in Wake County as possible. The next thing I need is a bank--we have always used smaller more community oriented banks here in Pittsburgh and find them more personable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (BTW it is over 90 here also so you are not suffering alone)

Thanks
Janet

Maybe you are eligible for membership in one of the local credit unions through your husband's work. If so, this would probably be a much better option than any of the banks. The two big CUs are State Employees FCU (hard to get into) and Coastal FCU (easier to get into). There are others . . .

I use Capital Bank, there is a branch in wake forest, just off of capital (near the target), and that is definitely smaller, etc.

We use USAA for everything and couldn't be happier. Of course I don't really like human interaction so the ability to do everything online is quite appealing. And if we move, no big whoop!

You don't have to be military to bank with them: https://www.usaa.com/inet/pages/why_...igibility_main
