Well, in terms of sheer volume, yes, I agree that Flying Saucer wins hands down. But check out this beer menu. . .

Where else are you going to find Zum Uerige ‘Sticke’ Alt or Hanssens Oude Gueuze? And how about a magnum of LaChouffe's BIG CHOUFFE, the 2005 Collector’s Edition, for $109? I was in heaven.

great info everyone
We went to Dos Taquitos the othe night and I was pleasantly surprised since I've had some good Mexican food in my day. Dinner's are $15-20 so I'm anxious to see what lunch prices are like.

Okay, I have to say it . .I love Bojangles! Those biscuits! That gravy...Great sweet tea!! Okay,,,it's out there..I said it . . .

Bahama Breeze for their jerk chicken wings and fresh fruit margaritas (oh, and the lemon breezes..omg...)

PF Changs (only been there once and loved EVERYTHING!)

That French pastry place at the corner of Creedmoor & Millbrook. I went to Paris for a week in 2004 and this was the first place I went to when I got back. I miss the chocolat au pain (chocolate crossaints) in Paris. The woman who runs this place is from Paris so of course, she got them just right!

Half of those sound like wines, but well worth trying. 'Cept for that $109 beer, unless someone else is buying.

I had lunch there once and they have the best corned beef I've had in Raleigh; but it didn't really compare to corned beef from other areas.

Flying Saucer does not get nearly as many foo-foo beers, but between the atmosphere, the patio, the selection, and the staff, it gets my nod.

Has anyone tried The Melting Pot? It's that fondue restaurant on Wake Forest Rd. We've been saying we were going to try it since we moved here. That was 5 years ago. I'm curious if it's as good as people say?

The Melting Pot is a national chain. I've had friends who've been to the locations in other states. They thought it was fun, but said it was really expensive.

What a great resource! I'm saving all these suggestions to a list, and will eat my way through the Triangle when I move there.

I haven't been to many places in the area, but I'll definitely return to Crook's Corner for shrimp and grits, and of course to the Angus Barn.

Frazier's on Hillsborough - even the salads are superb!

Moonlight pizza on W Morgan - fantastically unique menu and great bar!

The Melting Pot is not worth any money let alone the prices they take ya for.
