I wanted to thank everyone who has given me such great advice in the last few months! I am SO happy that I discovered this message board, it has been a true lifesafer. So many people have offered great advise in the wonderful adventure of purchasing our first home!

Tomorrow morning at 9:00am we finally close! I can't believe the day is finally right around the corner. Makes me think back to April when we went out the first time to look at houses. I never thought that tomorrow would ever come! Our apartment is in completely shambles and I really hope we can finish packing tonight! But I suppose you have to make a mess before you can pack It's all worth it...

Thanks again everyone! I'll still be on here and hopefully be able to help otheres!

The best thing I remember from my closing in May was how short it was. Was in and out with keys in 25 mins. and the builder was late ten, may have been quicker. Where I am from (LI - NY) a typical closing would last 4-6 hours!!

Have fun!!

It only took 25 minutes!!!! That is nuts! I am expecting at least 3 hours!!!! Wow I think I'll die of boredom if its 4-6 hours... It's going to be a long afternoon at work after before we can head up to our new home!
