Last night I had the pleasure of hearing a very cool band called Primate Fiasco play at Motorco in Durham (across the street from fullsteam). They are out of Northampton, Massachusetts and made up of a Tube, trumpet, banjo, drums and clarinet. They play cool funk / jazz and showtune type mashups. There was only a small but engaged crowd. Towards the end of the show they were kind enough to allow me and some of my bandmates jam with them. Here is a short video my friend shot on his new iphone of their performance on the sidewalk outside Motorco Music Hall in Durham, NC last night.

Check them out next time they are in town! And the enxt time you are in Durham be sure to check out Fullsteam and Motorco - That little corner of Rigsbee and Geer Street is a special place with a lot of good things going on in the downtown scene.
