We saw a cute home on flamingo Dr Clayton,"country estates" SD. We need to get something now to live in for about six months and then we are adopting 2 more children (teens) so we plan on getting something a little bigger and keeping the smaller home to rent out.
My question is this, we love Clayton but what do you think of the rental potential? Too far? Is that a desirable little area? It seemed convenient for shopping and commute 70 to 40 etc...

The rental market actually appears to be doing very well in Clayton. Homes in ours and the surrounding subdivisions appear to rent quickly. We put a 'for rent' sign out and got so many calls that we had to take it down until we actually find our new place. Our realtor said that a lot of people are renting houses now instead of buying. That being said, I have no idea what the rental market will look like in 6 months. Good luck.
