I want to leave Raleigh because it is not for me. I stayed going on 4 years because I thought maybe it will grow on me but it didn't. I want to visit Charlotte, Atlanta, and maybe somewhere in VA. and see if one of those places will be somewhere I want to live the rest of my life.

Reason: add more to my post.
We've been here 17 years (came from Southern California) and it just gets better and better. We've traveled all over the U.S. and most of the world and there is still no other place where I'd want to live and raise my family. Obviously it is not for everyone -- and that is a good thing. That is why we travel -- to see different places and people.
We are leaving in a month. I'll miss it but we are headed back to the Midwest. We will visit from time to time. I love it here but not enough to continue to be away from family.
Did you just not fit in with Raleigh's lifestyle.....Not enough to do, no job opportunities....It's always intriguing to me that people relocate here thinking they've reached golden pastures...but then reality sets in...
