Sorry...I didn't mean to "accuse" you of using it for that reason. Of course I came across that way, but my mind went off on a tangent once I started thinking about the usage of price point and didn't tie what I was writing back to your original comment.
I certainly don't believe you were trying to "sound sophisticated"...I've just seen plenty of other people (again, not you ) overusing it. I'm guilty of it myself sometimes.
So, are you trying to sound sophisticated or have you just heard it so much you find yourself using it?
My undergrad psych major is wrestling with my grad English major. I need to know.

I write for public consumption (too sophisticated? ), and while there are times when it's appropriate, I do find myself using it more often than I should. I think I do it mostly for variety, but it pays to keep in mind Strunk and White's maxim about not using a more complex word or phrase when a simple one will do.
And to keep this on topic a bit, I'm interested in hearing more about the M/I site behind SAS. Seems like it was just announced, so there are few details on it, but it's in a really convenient location and could be great with the small neighborhood and large lot sizes. Technically not in Cary, as it's in a donut hole, but maybe they're looking at having it annexed?

Hey! I edit for public consumption.
There's an M/I neighborhood going up behind SAS? Where, exactly?

The Woods at Umstead...26 homes at Trenton and Reedy Creek. So it must be just north of 40/Wade near The Lakes at Umstead. I initially thought it was on Trenton further south.
M/I homes 'woods at umstead' will have homes in the 3000-4000 sq foot starting at high 400k according to the email sent to me. They will be 1/3 to 1/2 acre lots or so; between windy woods which is a cary address and 'lakes at umstead' which is a raleigh address.
Woods at umstead will have a raleigh address. Best I can figure, it will feed to broughton b/c that is where the other addresses next door go -- with wcpss, that is subject to change.
Susan Bach and I will be the New Homes Sales Consultant on-site there. She said they will start selling late summer.
If you drive by, you will see the roads being cut in now.

Hmmm. Interesting. I've not been out there in awhile. We considered The Lakes at Umstead but it was slow building. I love the homes out there. Should go look again.
