So I just moved to here a couple months ago and I was wondering if anyone has any advice on where to take a girl for a first date, preferably something casual near North Carolina State. Thanks in advance.
We are "ffodies" and recommend 42nd St Oyster Bar, the Mellow Mushroom, Simply Crepes, Glenwood Grille, The Twisted Fork, Tribeca Tavern, and Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill and Coquette, if you want good food. Price is relative-not sure how you define casual-so just check out the menus and see what you think. Good luck!

The very first place my daughter wanted to go to when we went to Raleigh was to Mellow Mushroom - so that may be a good bet. Its a nice casual place - lots of people around & the food was good. Enjoy your date - wherever you end up!

I'm glad I asked. I checked out Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill today and noticed there's also an art gallery shop right next to it, and she's really into painting, so that's a plus haha. Thanks for the advice.
If she's into art, another idea might be to go to the NC Museum of Art (or even just take a walk through their sculpture park) and then go to Bella Monica (in the shopping center at the corner of Duraleigh & Edwards Mill)
Bella Monica is a great Italian place and a little more "first date" appropriate than Mellow Mushroom (little more upscale but still reasonably priced, not as noisy so you can actually have a conversation, fewer kids, parking's easier, service is a little more attentive, and it's not a chain.)
If you're going for Firebird's it's great, but be warned you can easily drop $80-$100 on dinner for two there (that's with cocktail, salad (especially their BLT salad which is quite tasty), entree, wine with dinner, and dessert) and part of the reason is the location (Southpoint and North Hills are both going for the more trendy/chic angle).
