I am potentially relocating if my latest job interview goes well. I plan on renting initially to get a feel for the area and the different communities. I have 2 boys 11/13 and don't want to make a hasty decision on a home purchase.

So my Q is can anyone educate me on the rental market? My preference would be to get a rental that does not have very long lease terms so that I can make a move when I find the right house. I'd probably look for a rental that has some ammenities so that the kids are not bored with their new surroundings. Renting a house is not out of the question either if the price was right.

The job may require me to move before my house is sold, so price will be an initial concern also.

There are short-term apartment rentals everywhere. We rented one for 6 months while our home was being built. It was around 1200 square ft. with 2 bedrooms. Our place had a pool, a gym and lots of green space. So, you are in luck! There is plenty to choose from.

I have a friend that may be relocating soon and has a 3 BR, 2 1/2 BA townhouse in a nice area of Apex possibly for rent. I don't know his time frame but i can find out more if you would like to inbox me. I would guess 1600-1800 sq ft.
