Hi,
We will be attending for the first time and not too familiar with the downtown area.

We are only able to go on Sunday.

If you could give us any tips you may have regarding parking, best times to go, or anything else that would help. I just hope it is not super crowded....or the husband might give up after the first house..lol

Thank you!

My wife and I have been to this several times, it's really neat to see the inside of the old homes.

I don't know that there is any best time to go. It will be hit and miss how busy it is, some houses may have long lines. Be sure to find the reception area first, should be info on the website.

As far as parking goes, anywhere in Oakwood will be fine. It might be hard to find parking, but we usually are able to find road parking somewhere close.

If you already have tickets, is there any reason to go to the reception area first?

No, it's not necessary, but a good starting point. I think this is where you get the pamphlet with the open house descriptions and locations.
