Sorry if this breaks forum rules, I thought this was a good place to get word out.

This is my 1st post, but I found this dog and she has no tags or chip. She's really sweet but she is older. I can't keep her because I have two dogs already. If you or a friend is interested I'll be dropping her off a the Wake County Animal Shelter i

EDIT: I am not the person who found the dog. I just saw this link and wanted to help spread the word.

When I found a dog and wanted to find the owner I called the shelters, put a free ad in the News and Observer, called the veterinarians local to the area where I found the dog, and put a free ad on petfinder.com. Those are some ideas for finding an owner. One can also ask to put up notices in the local convenience stores.

Aw, what a sweet face. Her nails are awfully long. She's probably been gone a long time.

For other people who find lost animals, Other websites to post on include: Triangle Lost Pets of Central North Carolina - Dogs, Cats, and Other Pets and Craigslist. There are bad people out there so I recommend describing the dog and then having them send a pic of their dog if they contact you. (I know the OP is not the person who found the dog).

It looks kinda like Roux, but Roux is darker with longer fur.
