I pay about $1200 a year for one car, but then again I'm a college student with a traffic misdemeanor.

$1100 a year for 2 crossover-type cars. Still boggles my mind when I see the bill - was $2000 a year in NY.

Seriously, this is really a misleading 'poll.' The premiums are totally dependent on factors that are entirely variable between individuals, including:

Type of vehicle (safety ratings)
Value of vehicle (age, original cost, cost to repair, etc.)
Driving and accident history of primary drivers
Amount of miles driven per year
County of residence
Age of drivers
Applicable discounts (2 car discounts, car alarms, etc.)
And most importantly, the underlying coverage limits on the vehicles (collision included, amount of liability, etc.)

Really, this can't be compared in the way you are trying to do. It's like asking "how much did you pay for your house."

True but something tells me this will fall on deaf ears. That's why no one has bothered

We pay $780 for 2 cars. You're really comparing apples to oranges unless you discuss the things jkgourmet points out.
