That is who I was referred to! I asked for redish highlights and ended up with orange hair! I went back for him to fix it. Not much better. That was about the time he wasn't cutting hair anymore so he sent me to some stylist. She was just "ok". By the time I paid for the girl at the "color bar" and the "shampoo girl" and the cut, I was paying about $200 each time, with tips. And...the price was different each time! I never understood it. After 6 months, I moved on!

I now pay $60 for color and cut and give her a $20 tip, just because she was so much cheaper than Blo!!!

I've been going there (WF) about 2.5 years now.

Hi Vicki,

I missed who your hairdresser is in Wake Forest. Can you tell me the name of the salon and the stylist/colorist you like so much?? I live in Wake Forest and am looking for someone who is good with foil highlights for naturally dark blonde hair.

Thanks much,
Susanne

I need a really versatile stylist who doesn't want to give me mom hair (no offense to moms; I am one).

I'm in my 40s, but I'm not frumpy.

I have some ideas, but wanted to see if C-D could offer more.

Prefer Cary, but would consider Raleigh, if it's not more than 15-20 from I-40/Harrison area.

Thanks!
I live in Morrisville. I drive to Beaver Creek to Jay Andrews salon (an Aveda salon) to see Brie. I've been loyal to her for about 4 years. Since that time they've opened another Jay Andrews right near me in the new Target shopping center (Park West) but I refuse to leave Brie and she doesn't want to commute to Morrisville (she lives in Apex).

I really love her--she's young, hip, fun, and will not give you mom hair (I know what you mean, I have been given mom hair in the past b/c I am a mom). After going through chemo in the spring last year, my formerly long, v. dark hair grew in WHITE and incredibly curly. She dyes my hair pink for me now. For real. I love her.

She sounds wonderful!

Thanks for the rec. I got bad vibes from the Park West one when I called to inquire about their services, but everyone who mentions the Apex one loves it.
