Thank you again. There are just so many apartments in these areas which is good I guess cause everyone is different in what they want just makes it hard when from out of state and new to the area. Cary the small amount of time I visited it seemed similar to the area I grew up in MI which I kind of like but then I also liked the Brier Creek area and by the Crabtree mall area. If I could find a nice home rental it would probably pick the area for me to start with but I also wanted to try to find a 6 month lease so that adds an extra layer.
Check out the St. Mary's area in Raleigh. There is a lot of new construction there so you could be the first renter at the price point you are looking at. Nearby Cameron Village may be too "collegy", but also is in an apartment boom.
My partner and I were just in Raleigh checking it out and looking for a place to live. We're relocating from San Diego. One of our considerations was Artisan at Brightleaf. It's new-ish and looked really nice, and the rent, for us, seemed pretty low. Not too sure about the area, but it seemed quiet and safe. Actually, it may be too quiet for us. ;^)
