I would need to drive 3 hours to buy Indian Grocery in bulk, since we don't have an Indian grocery store in our area.

Please advice the most popular/economical Indian grocery store(s) in the in the Triangle Area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill - Cary).

Regards!

When I browsed in the Internet… following are the options I see…. Looks like there are so many grocery stores… Would helpful if you could point out the store that has most of the common items and at the same time most economical too…

Also are these groceries are in the same street just like the Little India/Devon Ave in Chicago. If so, what is the street called as. Could you give the addresses for these/address for a place in the streets/square where the Indian groceries are situated, so that I can feed into the GPS for the directions.

Review of Indian Grocery Stores in the Triangle area
========================================
Triangle Indian Market (919-380-0350),

Around the World Market (919-859-5403). They have everything just like Raleigh Store, reasonable price and best quality. Seems Raleigh is their flagship store

Patel Brothers (919-380-0113).

Sangam Mart (919-460-4300) opened within the last year in Morrisville on Highway 54 at the new Greenwood Village shopping complex. Their 3,500 square foot facility boasts their own Krishi brand of products

VGS India Mart (919-544-3738). Sangam is a really good store too, but i think Vgs of Morissville is better

Kadambam Spices is yet another Indian grocery store that opened in Morrisville. Apart from the usual variety of Indian grocery goods, Kadambam has a Chennai flavor to some of their selections

Little India (919-489-9084) is located on the University Drive in Durham.

Patel Brothers, Around the World market and Triangle Indian Market all right around each other. Patel is the largest/best selection, IMO.

Looks like Patel Brothers, Triangle India Market and Around the World Market seems to be within 1 mile to each other....

Patel Brothers
802 E Chatham St
Cary, NC 27511

Triangle India Market
740 E Chatham St
Cary, NC 27511

Around the World Market
6715 Hillsborough St
Raleigh, NC 27606

However, it appears that Sangam Mart, VGS India Mart and Kadambam Spices are in Morrisville areas, which is about 8 miles from Chatham St where Patel Brothers/Triangle India Market/Around the World Market is located

Please advice which is better --- Chatham St (Cary/Raleigh) or the Morrisville area from the selection of items to the cost perspective....

Looking at the above posts Chatham St seems to be better

Thanks!

An Indian colleague recommended Around the World Market over Patel's, but I like Patel Brothers and am familiar with their stores from MD. (I don't buy in bulk though.) They sometimes get crazy busy on the weekends (especially Sundays, I think), you might want to call ahead and check if they have all the items in stock.
