Does anyone have a recommendation for a tea house in the triangle? My daughter and I have a tradition to dress up and go for afternoon tea during the holiday season. Since we're new to these parts I don't know where to go!
Thanks for your suggestions.

There is also a tea room in wake forest (downtown) called the olde english tea room. My daughter and I have been a number of times (she is 5 and loves high tea!) and it is wonderful

The tea at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill is fantastic and during the holiday season, they have a really cute display called the 12 Days of Christmas, and they have a gingerbread house contest.

the tea is really popular during the holidays, so I would make a reservation right away if you're interested.

ETA: they also have a Teddy Bear Tea Party for kids 8-12; kids bring their teddy bears to tea...

There is a lovely place in Fuquay, NC called The Tea Room. It is located in the lower level of Boswic Antiques. I first went there today and all of the food is made there on site, great breads, muffins, chicken and other salads, soups - and the atmosphere is delightful for ladies young and old. There are beautiful paintings, Moss Rose china pieces, Glynda Turley rose prints, rose chintz wallpaper - it's all of the girly girl stuff you'd want in your home but your husband would object to.

but alas, they are closing March 1 so hurry.
