Morgans Imports will appeal to you, even thought it isn't exactly as you describe. Lucky Pie Gallery in Cary is up your alley.

Check out 'French Connections' in Pittbboro. Cool shop in a old house. All kinds of stuff packed into all the little rooms of the house. Stuff covering the front porch and front yard too....

Another interesting place in Durham is a little place called "Vaguely Reminiscent" ( I think) on Ninth St. Its a couple doors down from the record shop and its a TINY place about the size of a closet that is crammed with all sorts of interesting items. The owner seems to have a shoe fettish, so shoes are a big deal, as are some great clothes, but the best part is the off-beat kitchy stuff they sell.
Its not creepy, but its interesting...some of the coolest toys I've seen in a long time

Yes indeedy. It redefines the word "quirky." In a good way.

Oh, and if you're interested at all in architectural salvage, a visit to The Last Unicorn in Chapel Hill is a must-see.

Until you look at the pricetags! They usually creep me out - right towards the front door. Great looking stuff, though.
