I like Embassy Suites a lot. Will check out,
If you search this forum, a LOT of people have used Embassy Suites as their scouting trip launch pad.
I almost always mention it first, but it IS a few miles north of being really central to Cary/Apex. Perfect, though, for cruising all the rest of the Triangle.

We have put family up there a few times, and have always been pleased.

My parents have stayed at the Homewood Suites several times and liked it.

Same here. People tend to like it.

I prefer The Umstead. Nice bar.

Anyone know anything about the Hilton Garden Inn - 131 Columbus Ave, Cary?

Listed as the #1 hotel on TripAdvisor for Cary.

15 min. from the airport.

Great AAA rate at $89 for a king.

Our plans are to see Cary and Apex, maybe Holly Springs. We will have just 2 full days.

I'm starting to wonder if you are reading posts. Someone posted about that HGI above, as well as Embassy Suites (twice) and Homewood Suites...all of which are Hilton chains.

That area, again is fine, if not terribly centrally located for exploring Cary and Apex (someone will argue this since it's near US1) and I can't stand being in that area as it's always so busy and makes me feel like I'm back on Long Island....but it will certainly give you everything you need for your trip as far as shopping and dining.

The LaQuinta in Cary - haven't been inside, but it looks beautiful from the outside.

We stayed there for our visit last month. It's a nice, clean, and new or recently renovated. We'll be staying there again next month when we come back to check out the area some more. Pretty good location and easy to get to Cary and Apex. There's also a Doubletree basically in the same parking lot that also has good rates.

It's nice. There are walking trails from it that will take you right through Lake Crabtree Park. You'll be busy looking at homes, though. Do you have a realtor? You should if you do not.

Walking trails?
Not really. This is the HGI at Crossroads.

Why not just stay at the Renaissance in North Hills? Although it is Raleigh, nothing in the area is that far away. You can use 440 to easily get around to Cary/Apex.

My mistake. I was thinking it was the one off Evans. Isn't that a Hilton Garden Inn?

Eh... scratch my comment, OP.
