I've just bought an '05 Saab and it needs service (brakes, fluids, etc.) I've hear rumors of a place called Swedish-American but it's not listed in the phone book, and there's a dealer in Durham but I know nothing about them.
Can anyone recommend a mechanic? Reasonable and certified, preferably?

Thanks!
I can vouch for Swedish Imports on the Chapel Hill/Durham line.
I had a Saab when I first moved down here and I had it serviced there regularly for 3 years. Its a father and son operation, both are terrific. I never felt as though I was being taken, honest and upfront about everything, great customer service and they know what they are doing.
I've used Swedish Imports for more than 15 years and have never had a bad experience. It helps to make an appointment so they can balance their workload. They are accurate in their time and price estimates, stay in touch with you throughout major repairs, and handle minor services very well.
