Essentially, this means that Wake County will benefit while the town of Wake Forest picks up the tab.
You've got way too much free time on your hands. For all you know those guys had a call nearby and then had a lunch break and wanted to do some fishing. And to have to deal with a guy like you sitting on the porch just waiting with his camera ready, drooling in anticipation of the big bust. Get a life.
I think ole Grizz needs to let it go before he gets an ulcer over this thing
He better hope his house never catches on fire or his family requires EMS services...then his tune might change. My neighbor's house caught on fire a few years back....RFD and Wake EMS pulled out all the stops responding to the call quickly before things got out of hand and saved the home from being a total loss. Yes...we pay taxes, but when you need their services at or near your home the cost is worth every penney of it.
Early told the commissioners he expects the portion of town calls at the new station to increase as Wake Forest grows.
So short-term, yes, county will get as much benefit as town, but long-term, town will get more benefit. The existing WF stations are a pretty good drive from that area.

What if that part of Wake County grows faster than the outskirts of Wake Forest? Then the benefit is still predominantly for the County and the town is still mostly paying for it. The new fire station shouldn't be built until that issue is resolved.
There's a pretty simple solution. If you have that big of an issue with the way the county is run and taxed you can move your residence to another county.

Are you suggesting that the taxes I pay aren't enough to cover the services I've been promised?
You'll excuse the residents of Wake Forest for not wanting to pick up the bill for Wake County's fire department needs.
Please check your emotions at the door in this debate because your argument appears to have you advocating for the criminal act of extortion.
You totally missed the point. How much is it worth to you when you or your loved one's life is in danger? Is living life and caring for others just all about money to you? Seems to be so....how selfish, sad, and pitiful.

Apparently life is more valuable to us Wake Forest residents as we're being forced to subsidize a fire station that will also serve Wake County. The irony is that it's supposed to be the other way around, Wake County is supposed to help pay for our town's fire stations.
